  One-Stop Shop June 7, 2012 - 3:00am By Paul Fain The GED will soon attempt to measure college readiness as well as being the learning equivalent of a high-school diploma, thanks to an upgrade the GED Testing Service hopes will make it a substitute for the ACCUPLACER, a popular placement test used by community colleges. Students who successfully complete a new college-readiness portion of the GED will have demonstrated that they don't need remediation or the ACCUPLACER, according to the service. With the GED, Adults Find a Way to Move Forward Georgia Kral | June 8, 2012 4:00 AM As the graduates filed into the PS 218 auditorium in the Bronx on Wednesday night, donning bright blue caps and gowns, their friends and family clapped and cheered.
